The Victory Day (16th December):

The 16th December is a red correspondence day in the History of Bangladesh. Pak army surrendered to the allied forces after nine months of bloody war and new Bangladesh came into being. It was our long felt and long most wanted victory .So 16th December is our victory day.

The World Mother Language Day

Mother tongue is a great award. Mother language is so important that the people of a country express their thoughts, thoughts, feeling, emotions etc. clearly through mother tongue. But it is an irony of fate that the then ruled of Pakistan tried to impose Urdu as mother tongue upon us instead of Bangle. But the people of our country raised their voice against this unlawful decision. Some of the heroic sons came forward and sacrificed their glorious life for the cause of our mother tongue on the 21 st February ,1952. Since then this day is called the Shaheed Dibash. Every year we memorize this day with solemnity and pay them thoughtful mark of respect. Now it is great pleasure for us that this day has got international gratefulness in 1999. From now onwards this day will be observed as “The World Mother Language Day”. So it is a mother of great glory and status for us.
